On May 3, 2025 / 5 Iyar 5785, we lost a soul of immeasurable light. Rabbi Sholom Lipskar, a devoted emissary of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, dedicated his life to spreading love for Torah and mitzvahs to people from all walks of life. His charismatic warmth, passionate spirit, and unwavering faith touched countless hearts—often in ways we are only now discovering. Many have shared how he lifted them up, offered guidance, and revealed the divine spark within every soul.
For over 40 years, he led The Shul of Bal Harbour and built the Aleph Institute into a national organization reaching those often overlooked: people in prison, military service members, and anyone in need. His work continues to bring compassion and hope every day.
Guided by two core principles—“Lechatchila Ariber,” rising above obstacles, and the simple call to “get it done”—Rabbi Lipskar inspired countless acts of kindness and resilience. He believed in the power of a single mitzvah. When each of us takes on a small act of kindness, together we create a ripple that carries Rabbi Lipskar’s light forward and uplifts his soul.
This project was close to his heart throughout his life, and we are proud to relaunch it in his memory with a goal of one million mitzvahs. Each act is a tribute to his work and a continuation of his mission.
Wrap tefillin. Light Shabbat candles. Give tzedakah. Visit someone who feels alone. Do it with the passion and sincerity that defined his life.
Imagine thousands inspired by Rabbi Lipskar, each adding to this wave of kindness. Together, we’ll ensure no one is alone or forgotten—and that his light shines on.
